Exporting data and collaborating with your accountant
Exporting your administration, which files your accountant needs, and how to grant someone viewing access without sharing your login.
What you can export
Invoices and quotes as PDF, individually or bundled per period.
Expenses and receipts, including the original files.
Bank transactions per account and period.
General ledger and journal entries as a file for your accountant.
Granting your accountant viewing access
Invite your accountant as a user with their own login instead of sharing your password. You decide which sections they have access to and can revoke access at any time.
Never share your own password. With a shared login, it's no longer possible to see who made which entry, which is precisely what you want to be able to demonstrate during an audit.
At the end of the year
Check that all invoices, expenses, and transactions for the year have been entered.
Reconcile the latest bank transactions.
Export the general ledger and journal entries for your income tax return.
Save the export along with the acknowledgment receipts for your VAT returns.
Frequently asked questions
Can my accountant make changes to entries themselves?
Yes, if you grant them those rights. Every change remains traceable to the user who made it.
How long will my data be available?
As long as your account is active. If you cancel, please export first; your data will then be deleted in accordance with the retention period.
