Connecting your business account via PSD2, extending the connection and what to do if your bank is not supported.
Go to Bank and select 'Connect account'.
Find your bank in the list.
You will be redirected to your bank's environment to authorise the retrieval of your transactions.
You will return to InvoiceHippo and choose which account belongs to which administration.
The connection is read-only: no payments can be made. Transactions are retrieved several times a day.
Under PSD2, an authorisation expires after a fixed period – 90 to 180 days for most banks. You will be notified in advance and can extend the authorisation using the same steps as when connecting. If the authorisation expires, only new transactions will stop; previously retrieved transactions will remain.
If your bank or foreign account does not yet support a connection, you can import transactions manually. This works with camt.053, camt.052, MT940 and CSV.
Please let us know via chat which bank you use. We keep track of which banks are most frequently requested.
Can I connect a private account?
Technically it is possible, but we advise against it: mixing private withdrawals and business expenses makes your administration and tax returns more difficult to audit.
How many accounts can I connect?
Multiple. Each account gets its own transaction overview and is reconciled separately.
