Why InvoiceHippo uses Gleap for in-app feedback, support chat, and bug reports, what the integration does, and what you as a user will notice.
Our support and in-app feedback run through Gleap: the chat and feedback button at the bottom right of the site and in the portal. Gleap hosts in the European Union (Frankfurt), which aligns with our choice of European processors. In addition, Gleap makes it easy to include a screen recording or bug report, so we can help you faster.
Synchronise help texts: the articles from our knowledge base are therefore identically worded in the Gleap Help Center, ensuring consistent answers.
Manage corporate identity and language: colours, logo, and the Dutch language setting of the widget and help centre.
Proactive messages: the site pushes events to Gleap, for example, if you stay on the pricing page for longer. We link these events to automatic messenger messages in Gleap.
Feedback and bug reports: through the widget, you can take a screenshot and report a bug without having to send a separate email.
The integration only writes articles and settings. It does not read conversations, contact details, or account information. Your conversation in chat remains between you and our support team.
More about what data Gleap processes as a processor can be found in our privacy policy and the processor agreement at invoicehippo.nl/legal.
Answers in the helpdesk and chat remain up-to-date, as they come from the same source as these help pages. If we improve an explanation, that improvement is everywhere — without you having to wait for anything.
Are my chat conversations read by the integration?
No. The integration only manages help articles, settings, and events. Conversation content and contact details are not read.
Why Gleap and not an American chat tool?
Gleap hosts its services in the European Union. This keeps support conversations within the EU, and no transfer to the United States is required.
Can I send a screenshot with a bug?
Yes. The Gleap widget has built-in feedback and bug reporting functionality. You can take a screen recording and annotate it directly.
