What InvoiceHippo costs, how the 30-day trial period works, the extended starter trial, and why there is no permanent free plan.
There are three plans. All prices exclude 21% VAT. If you choose annual payment, you pay for ten months instead of twelve. (Prices as published on invoicehippo.nl/prijzen, reference date August 2026.)
- Ondernemer Starter — € 12.50 per month. For starters and freelancers: invoices, quotes, VAT declarations, and importing bank transactions.
- Groeiend Bedrijf — € 22.50 per month. Everything from Starter, plus automatic bank link, projects, budgeting, and scanning invoices.
- Alles-in-1 Pakket — € 45.00 per month. Everything from Groeiend Bedrijf, plus AI credits, unlimited quantities, and up to 5 users.
Unsure which plan suits you? Start small. You can always switch — upgrading takes effect immediately, downgrading on the first day of your next period.
Everyone first tries InvoiceHippo for 30 days. Your trial period runs on the Groeiend Bedrijf plan, so you can also test the bank link and the budgeting module. There are no obligations.
1. Create an account at invoicehippo.nl — the trial period starts immediately.
2. Set up your administration: link your bank or import transactions, create your first invoice.
3. Afterwards, you choose whether to continue and with which plan. There is no automatic renewal.
Have you recently started your business (guideline: approximately 6 months ago or less)? Then you are eligible for the 3-month starter trial. This also runs on Groeiend Bedrijf and is activated after verification of your data. You can apply via invoicehippo.nl/starters.
A free version always has to be paid for somehow. We prefer an affordable subscription, so we can continue to work on the product and support. That's why there is one well-maintained version instead of a watered-down free variant.
**Are prices inclusive of VAT?**
No. All stated prices are exclusive of 21% VAT.
**Will I automatically become a paying customer after the trial period?**
No. The trial period ends automatically. You then choose whether to continue and with which plan.
**Can I change plans later?**
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately (you pay the pro-rata difference), downgrades take effect on the first day of your next period. Read more in the article about subscriptions and invoicing.
